| Hello, I'm
Bruce Tainio, president of Tainio Technology. I received my formal
education at Eastern Washington University, majoring in biology.
As a part of my curriculum, I spent a year traveling the world,
collecting and cataloging field data on food crops in the various
countries.
In the early 1960's, I began my
career as a plant breeder and microbiologist. During that time, I
developed thousands of food crop and flower seed varieties for
seed companies all over the world. Early in my career, I came to
realized that conventional growing practices and over use of
agricultural chemicals were destroying the earth's natural
ecosystem, and I began to study the role of microbial activity in
the soil and how it effected the health of plants.
By 1985 I had started Tainio
Technology as a specialty seed company. During this early period,
I developed Symphony, a popular hard red winter wheat, and Camelot
barley, which is now the second largest barley variety in the
Northwest, among many other crop and commercial seed varieties.
By 1987, I had succeeded in
developing a successful biological agricultural program, which has
made Tainio Technology a pioneer in the field of alternative
agricultural methods.
Today I run two busy companies, and
in my spare time my hobbies are gardening, photography, and
working in my lab on my electronic inventions.
